Fees

From 1st July 2023, the standard fees at Living Life are $210 per consultation for a 50 min session. If you have a health care card then a lower fee can be discussed. No referral is required unless you wish to claim on Medicare.

Medicare rebates are available for psychological treatment of eligible mental health conditions. You will be able to claim a proportion of your fees from Medicare if you’re eligible for a “mental health care plan” from your GP- please talk to your GP to discuss obtaining one.

If you have a Medicare mental health care plan, from 1st July 2023, Medicare will reimburse up to $92.90 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. i.e. the total cost after reimbursement from Medicare would be $117.10 per session, up to 10 sessions.*

Alternatively, a proportion of your fees may be redeemable from your private health insurance, depending on your health insurance plan.

Cancellation policy

If for some reason you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please give the psychologist at least 48 hours notice, otherwise there will be a cancellation fee. Same day cancellations incur 50% of the cost of the session. This amount is not covered by rebates.

*GP’s generally refer for 6 sessions initially, with the remaining available upon seeing your GP for a re-referral. Due to COVID, you may be eligible for an additional 10 sessions, for a total of 20 rebated sessions per calendar year.
